ArticlesGB Team Manager – OpportunityFollowing the acceptance of the revised UK Freestyle constitution the position of GB Team Manager will be a contracted post decided upon by the committee. The position is therefore up for renewal and the committee will be considering all applications for this post. The committee is looking for a highly motivated volunteer to work with the committee and the GB Team athletes to further improve on the outstanding success of previous international competitions. The initial focus will be the 2008 European Championships and responsibilities will include the following: • Advising the committee on team issues • Working closely with and managing team coaches • Working closely with and managing team athletes • Travelling to various training venues and competitions within the UK • Will be expected to travel to International competitions and training • Organising team entry to competitions • Managing the team during international events • Have regular contact with athletes and the committee Key attributes that the committee are looking for are: • Enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Freestyle • Understanding of freestyle rules and procedures • Appropriate management and communication skills • Charismatic and approachable The chosen applicant will be a full voting member of the committee.
