ArticlesTeam training 2010For all GB team/squad members:Please find below the team training dates for 2010. February 13Th Hurley: Informal team/squad day + Junior coaching with Jacko. Meet the rest of the team/squad sort out any admin and information needed. Please note that this will be an informal day for the Seniors with no formal structured coaching available. However it would be a good opportunity for the 2010 team/squad to get together. The juniors will be taking part in a coaching session with Jacko. 7Th March - TBC. 17 / 18Th April - Nottingham - BCU level 2 coach award (for those paddlers with significant paddling experience) Also workshops from Dennis Newton and Russ Smith. 8 / 9 May - Nottingham - BCU Foundation Freestyle Coach Award (for those paddlers with significant paddling experience) Also workshops from Dennis Newton and Russ Smith. Matt Chadder is working hard to involve coaches from a wide variety of backgrounds to provide a range of workshops to suit the needs of the team/squad. There is emphasis on the new BCU UKCC Freestyle awards which we hope will help promote the long term development of freestyle within the UK. those of you who were part of the 2009 team/squad will be well aware of the new format that Matt introduced and the success and structure that it offered. The training weekends will have a 9am Meet and a more detailed schedule will be published on the Freestyle website nearer the relevant date. Please also note that due to the weather dependency of Freestyle it is important that you check that the training weekend is still running before travelling. If you have not already done so you will need to complete and return to me two copies of the Consent, Code of conduct and Contact details forms.
